BE A FRIEND |
|
Since 1939, the Friends of the Lafayette Library has been funding: such as books, magazine subscriptions, audio and video tapes, CDs, and books on tape: pet shows, storytellers, summer reading programs, and the annual bookmark contest, to name a few: shelves, and other equipment; and books, magazines, web sites, and databases. |
The Friends accomplished the above and much more through its membership and through the efforts of a dedicated few who operate a twice monthly used book sale at the Community Center. It is an ex- cellent opportunity to recycle your old books, find some new bargains, and sup- port your library at the same time. As funding for libraries continues to decline at the county level, it is incumbent upon each community and each citizen therein to play a role in keeping our library current, vital, and open. So, BE A FRIEND and join the Friends of the Lafayette Library> today. |
