Sweet Thursdays Presents:

Elizabeth Rosner interviews
Paula S. Fass

Author of
Inheriting the Holocaust:
A Second Generation Memoir

Join us for a very special Sweet Thursday event, the final one before the opening of the new Lafayette Library and Learning Center. Acclaimed author Elizabeth Rosner will interview UC Berkeley's Margaret Byrne Professor of History, Paula S. Fass. Ms. Fass, a pioneer and pace-setter in the burgeoning field of children's history will discuss her new memoir, Inheriting the Holocaust. In this very important work, she acts as researcher, historian and storyteller as she uncovers the difficult past experienced by her parents and lost family members in the Germany and Poland of World War II. Elizabeth Rosner, author of Speed Of Light, Blue Nude and the prize-winning poetry collection, Gravity, is herself the child of Holocaust survivors and this legacy informs her work. She is uniquely suited to the task of creating what will prove to be a most moving and thought-provoking discussion.

Admission is free.

Books will be available for signing by the author after the program. Books will be sold by Lafayette Book Store who donates a portion of the proceeds to the Friends of the Lafayette Library.

Coffee and dessert will be served.
